In this plan classes are conducted 5 days a week, 2 hrs. per day in Evening sessions or on Saturday / Sunday, 6-8 hrs. per week depending upon various courses. Under this plan for some courses, classes are conducted on Saturday/Sunday in order to suit the requirements of working professionals who want to pursue the courses while continuing their jobs or for any other reasons. Part time courses are available through EIILM University. The details of university and courses is as under:
“Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM) University” has been established by Government of Sikkim under Eastern Institute of Management of Integrated Learning in Management university, Sikkim Act 2006 (Act no.4 of 2006 no.28. Dated April, 4 2006) LD/2006 published in the Sikkim Government Gazette on April 17, 2006. The authorization letter has been issued by Human Resource Management Department, Government of Sikkim, Tashiling, Gangtok vide letter no. GOS/DTE/2005/VIII (14) 100 dated may 26,2010. “Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management University “is first and only State University of Sikkim approval by Distance Education Council on recommendation of joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
The degrees awarded by the University through CIB Education stand automatically recognized for all purpose including employment and further education , as per Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management University , Sikkim Act 2006(Act no.4 of 2006). “Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management University”, being a state University u/s 2f of UGC Act 1956 , is competent to award degrees specified in section 22 of the UGC Act 1956,as per UGC letter no.F.9.19/2007(CPP-1) dated 22.01.2008.
